Comments: In the summer, the male goldfinch is bright yellow and black. The female, however, is drab with a tinge of yellow all year long.  Since the male loses his flashy coloring in winter and looks more like the female, it's hard to say which this "cutie" is.
Available For: Editorial and commercial stock photo use, t-shirts, prints.
More Info: Goldfinches like to feed on the seeds of the Mexican Sunflower in the winter. Its flowers also attracts lots of butterflies in the summer, see Image # 88513.
