| Comments: |
I saw this
barred owl around the campground for several evenings, but it was
always too dark or he flew away when I came near. I had loaded
a camera with fast film to be ready for him. Finally, late one
afternoon, I found him very intent on finishing his daytime roost
and he let me pester him just long enough to get a whole roll of
shots. |

See Image #

a photo of another
barred owl. The most fascinating resource I have found on barred
owls is the OwlCam. It follows the adventures of a pair of
barred owls as they raise their family in a nest box in Eastern
Massachusetts and covers a period of several years. Warning! It's
addictive!
